High school students who love to read should join the Tournament of Books competition. Students from Ingenuity can join teams of four to read from a list of 15 new and popular books and test their knowledge in a school-wide competition in March. The top team of four will go on to compete against thirteen other Houston high schools in the Spring for big prizes. If you are a high school student interested in competing, come to the library during your lunch period or mid-period on Friday, December 15th, to attend the first book party where competitors will sign up, play games, and eat free food. Registration forms are available in the library and are due at the book party on Friday.
You are being asked to complete this survey to help all members of the school (students, parents, and school personnel) understand how you feel about your school.
As you respond to each item, focus on your thoughts and feelings based on your own personal experiences as a student.
There are no right or wrong answers—this is not a test! We just want to know how you feel. Your responses will provide us with important information to help your school become even better.
All of your responses are completely anonymous, which means that your teachers or family will not see your answers. No one will ever see how you filled out your own survey.
This survey should take you approximately 10 minutes.
Thank you for taking this survey!
We are now accepting applications from certified ESL and Bilingual Teachers.

Harmony staff, teachers, and administrators have spent countless of hours preparing our students for college and each year approximately 85% of our graduating class enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
But, despite these impressive enrollment numbers, far too many of our low income and first-time college students drop out as they hit financial and circumstantial barriers such as the cost of attending college, that has increased by 36% in the last 10 years. Harmony Public Schools has 5,033 graduates to date and is projected to have 11,686 graduates by 2020, current funding sources are unable to meet even the current demands of these programs. Clearly, additional financial support is required.
We are asking our Harmony community to consider going beyond educational efforts, providing even greater assistance to our graduates through generous Harmony Giving Day contributions to the Harmony College Fund. All your donations will go towards helping our Harmony graduates to complete their higher education dreams and achieve their career aspirations by providing additional scholarships and direct college and career support services.
Let’s come together to reach our target of raising $50,000 on our first ever giving day.
Thank you for your generosity.
As part of the December 13, 2017 Board of Directors Regular Meeting, Harmony Public Schools will hold a public hearing to discuss the HPS Schools’ 2016-2017 Financial Rating Systems of Texas (FIRST) accountability ratings.
